Children's Museum

Today I got a surprise chare.all from my dad wondering if me and Soph wanted to go to the Children's Museum. We met hm down there about 11:00. I haven't been down there since it was totally remodeled, so I thought it was pretty neat. I have always liked museums anyway.

Sophie had a great time. She hardly said a peep because she was so busy taking in everything around her. She looked at every little thing. I think she found every detail in every exhibit. For example. We were passing by the miniature rooms behind glass, which dosen't look very interesting at first glance, but she got right up there and was looking all around inside them throught the glass and pointing at things, and wanted up on the ledge to walk to see the others. It is interesting watching her look at things. In the toddler area there were animals in glass and she would squat down to see each one.

She especially loved the water play area. I put on her little smock and she played with all the little boats and balls floating there. She was handing the other kids things too. It was pretty cute that sh hands stuff out to share. She even went up to a couple of the mommies and did that. I was like thats right...my child is so cute and polite.

She was so busy the whole time we were there. She walked most of the time at full speed. We had lunch in their cafeteria. She had hot dog and smiley potato faces. She also liked the Egypt area. There were all kinds of little plastic fruits and veggies that she was carrying around to different places.

She rode the carosel, there was only one other person on there.

Once we were in the car, she fell asleep in about 45 seconds and slept untill bout 7 or so. Tired girl! Big day

Lions Park

Today we went to Clay Terrace because Sophia wanted to go to the Vera Bradly store :) We were just looking around and went to Old Navy and Bath and Body Works. We stopped by McDonalds and went to the park. We stayed there for about an hour and a half. Sophie just walked everywhere, from one side of the park to the other over and over, and up the gazeebo ramp about fifty times.

She went around collecting leaves and sticks. She decided to clime up to go down the slide, on her belly, which was funny because she let out this little giggle when she reached the bottom. She did that about 6 times before she got wobbly legs from going up the steps too many times!

We came home, had dinner put Soph to bed, the usual. Watched the biggest looser, and Jay. Now going to bed....to read.

Downtown

We spent most of our Monday afternood downtown. I wanted to go to the Children's Museum today, but apparently it is not open on mondays now. We just went on over to Circle Center Mall. I wanted to check out the H&M because David said they had cute girls clothes and stuff with Hello Kitty on it. I found alot of awesome stuff in there. The womens section was stupid though or maybe I am just to old for that stuff.
When it got close to lunch we decided to go the Chicfilet. Some nice lady in line gave us a coupon for a free kids meal. Score!!!

After we ate, I went into Carson Pierie to check out the kids section. It was small, but I found Soph some super cute overalls and some onesies to go with them.

We went home for a little while after that and Soph took a nap while I did some laundry. We went to the Gymboree open gym after that and there were only about 4 other people there. It was awesome! Sophie likes the slide now. She mostly ran around and wanted to play in the restroom and the other room they have there for activities that had nothing in it at the time.

She just likes to get up on the stepstool in the bathroom and wash her hands. She also loves hand sanitizer. Whenever she sees the bottle at home or out she starts rubbing her hands together and points at it. I think I am raising a little germ a phobe! That is good though, especially since other kids have questionable hygeine and probably boogers on their fingers.

We stayed there for about an hour, then she walked to the door like.....let's go! So we left and met David at Monicals Pizza. Sophie didnt appreciate waiting, so she played with all the sugar packets on the table and wouldnt sit in her high chair until the food got there.

Soph got into the bathtub right after we got home. She didn't want to get dressed so she ran around the house nekkid for a few minutes which she thought was soooo funny!

She played with her new baby stroller. She was getting frustrated because she was trying to figure out how to snap the baby in with the buckle. We showed her and showed her. Then I took her little hands and we practiced, but she just keeps turning the one side of the clip sideways and it won't go in. She didnt give up..she tried and tried for quite awhile. It was so cute how she kept repositioning herself or the stroller with each couple of do-overs. She finally gave up for awhile and just raced through the house with her stroller.

Moving? Nope, not yet

So, David got a new job....another one. As it turns out, the one he just got was not to his liking. In the meantime he received a great offer from a company down south between Owensboro and Evansville from someone he knew when he had his own steel company.

He will start that next week. Apparently this company is pretty technologically advanced with robots and things like that. David is very excited because it will be a true project manager job without the estimating part that he did not like because if the time it took. So I am excited for him.

The hard part is that we don't want to rush into moving further south until we find just what we want, as far as houses and where exactly we will be. Apparently the cost of living is much less down there, so we will be able to get a larger home with more land, which will be nice for swing sets and doggies running around! So David will be commuting. His mom lives in Owensboro, so he will stay with her throught the week and come home Friday after work and go back down Sunday night :(. That will be the way it is at least through the Spring, because we will not move in the winter, and we want to find just the right place for us.

Hopefully this job will lead to other things and we won't have to be there forever. So that is as much as I know for now. We will be lonely during the week, so we will welcome any invites to do stuff or visit!!!

Our Sunday

Today David had to work so I decided to take Soph to Castleton Square to see what we could see.

We stopped by Toys R Us first, because I wanted to get Soph a stroller for her baby dolls and a little cell phone of her own so maybe she wound not be so interested in mine. Ha! I knew it waws a mistake as soon as I went in. There were annoying little kids with their even more annoying parents everywhere. It amazes me how some people act. I was practically run over several times. People were crashing into my cart like they were giving away stuff for free and they had to get there! It was like I was invisible. I was so pissed that this little asshole old lady, with oxygen practically pushed my cart out of the way with hers to get in an asile ahead of me. I just stared her down and called her a fucker (in my mind) cause I wasn't going to get ghetto on her.

I just can't believe how many jackasses were there today. I was just casually browsing, but it made my blood pressure climb everytime some fat ass mom of two sticky little jerk kids would stand right in front of me like I wasn't even there. I am sure if I reached for something she would have tackled me to get it first. WOW! Enough of that business. I got what I wanted and left, AND I will NEVER go there again...EVER!

These reason are also why I don't go to Wal Mart. Yuck!

After that, we went over to the mall and ate at Johnny Rockets. Our waiter was very entertaining and kept playing peek a boo with Soph behind the counter. She also enjoyed the music that was playing. The food there is terrible, but the fries were good! After that we went back inside the mall and strolled around. I checked out Merle Norman for some Vera Bradley back pack I wanted that they didn't have. They did have my make up, so that was ok. We went by Build a Bear and I found a Hello Kitty that we may get soon when David is able to go with us to see her build her. I was looking for winter clothes , but didn't really find anything.

It was almost time for the mall to close, so we breezed through the Yankee Candle store and I found some things there, but have to go get them another day since it was getting late.

We just went home after that and waited for daddy to get home. Sophie zoomed around the kitchen with her bear in her new stroller. She likes to put all kinds of stuff in her little walker and stroller like crayons, keys, pacis, straws or anything else she may find laying around. If we loose something, I do actually check her little hiding places for things first, she likes to re-arrange things. Daddy got home in time to tuck Soph in. We watched some Desperate Housewives while I worked on making leaf pins for Sophie and Maren to wear on picture day.
