Children's Museum

Today we went to the Children's Museum. It was super fun! It was not busy at all. We met David down there around 11:00. Sophie went everywhere. We started out in the Playscape. Then we went to have lunch. after lunch we went to see Bob the Builder. Soph was only there long enough to put some stones on the wall. We hadn't been to the dinosaur area in awhile. Sophie found the dig site and loved it. The archaeologist lady really showed Toot hoe to have fun! Sophie picked out her own goggles and brush to use on her expedition! She toddled all around there. After that we went to the carosel for a ride on a billy goat! She played in the ice cream parlor and treehouse for a bit then we headed home.

Today was nice. We messed around the house for most of the morning. We went out and took a little stroll around. Sophie likes to walk...alot. Then we headed off for Target. I needed to get the usual suspects. Then my dad was to come over to watch Soph while Dave and I went to see Alice in Wonderland. It was pretty good. The theater was packed! We even got there way early. Good thing we did! When we got home, dad had already put Toot to bed. I was surprised that she would even consider bedtime with company over! Dad said she kept laying her head on his chest. Aww! They played and hung out. I was so glad that she was good! She is getting used to me leaving her for little bits of time now. When we were walking out the door, I was fretting a little, but then she said Buh bye! Waving and laughing sitting on grandpas lap. So we made a break for it!

Tootie at Paradise Cafe showing how good her cookie is

Sophies solo Gymboree Class

At Greenwood Park Mall

Wearing her":Hollywoods"

At Five Guys

Yesterday we decided to check out the Level 5 class for Soph at Gymboree in Greenwood. Soph had fun, but there was only one other kid there, and he left early. They had a small parachute so Soph could sill have parachute time and bubbles. After that we decided to go over to Paradise cafe at Greenwood Mall because David had not had time to eat before Gymboree. Me and Soph got a cookie and some iced tea. Then we walked all around the mall. Soph got in one of the little rides there on the way out that looked like a school bus.
Today we ran some errands. We had to drop some library books off at the Carmel Library. David was up doing some stuff at the old house. So After running by my sisters, I called him and we met at Five Guys, which is one of Tooties favorite places. We went home after that for naps. sophie took a three hour nap. It was great, I got some stuff done and took a little nap myself. My neck has been bothering me alot today, so that was much needed. Sophie and David ate dinner while I laid down for a bit with a headache. I felt better after a little bit. We spent the rest of the evening hanging out, playing and watching Sophies TV shows.

The Sophies having coloring fun!

My new plant from Val & Sophie M.

This morning Val and Sophie M. came over to check out my place and hang out and play. Val brought me a housewarming gift. a little plant. I was super surprised and delighted. It was so thoughtful. He is a nice little plant and will have a good home here! I have to think of a name for him. We had Sesame Street on and as soon as little Sophie M. walked in the door, she checked out Elmo's World. Just in time! She did a funny little dance to it. She also located Minnie mouse stuffed animal and hung out with her and Sophie's Elmo. They also watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, which has recently been a hit around here. Sophie now says Mickey every time she sees him anywhere. The girls hung out in Soph's room at the little table and colored too. We went over to Bob Evans for some brunch. It was pretty tasty. Soph had some pancakes and fruit and chocolate milk. Then home for nap time. We had a great time as always with them!
Then around 5 my dad came over for dinner. I made some spaghetti, cornbread and corn. Sophie had a good time entertaining grandpa at the table. She was very talkative. Then I wanted to go to Target because I needed some batteries for these phones and diapers and a few grocery items. So he watched Sophie so I could go there in peace. It was nice. Another good day for us. Yay! David gets to come home tonight because they are having him bit on some work up here. So now I am just relaxing and making some shortbread cookies. I love this new cookbook!

Tootie at Max & Ermas
Grandpa entertaining Soph pre-dinner at Max&Ermas
at Gymboree Open gym

Enjoying some Dairy Queen
Having fun mall walking

Today I worked some more on organizing this new place. I got the computer/Sophie's play room mostly done. There are still some miscellaneous things laying about, but over all it is looking nice. My dad called and we met at Max & Erma's for dinner. Sophie had a grilled cheese, fries of course, a fruit bowl which she loved. Dad also ordered chocolate chip cookies, which they brought out before Soph was done eating. oh well, cookie in one hand, fry in the other! This would have never happened when I was a child. sigh. Then we went to Gymboree open gym in Greenwood. We only stayed for a little bit. Dad decided we should go to the mall to let Soph walk around. She did too. That little girl walked the hour and a half or so we were there. She got 2 Hello Kitty shirts and a pair of jammies at Macys, and my dad got her a couple pairs of shoes at Sears. She clomped all around in them. It was pretty cute. We stopped by Dairy Queen in the food court for ice cream, but Soph was more interested in feeding my dad her ice cream. So it turned out to be a pretty good day despite I still have no word on my grandpa.

Sophia and grandpa wtching ni hao kai lan
Today was interesting. this morning the Comcast guy came...on time. It was 8:15. He was supposed to be here between 8 and 9, but when does that ever happen. This is the fastest I have ever made myself presentable. After he left, it no fewer than 6 phone calls to Comcast to fix what he screwed up. awesome. He was super nice though. Then David left to go give Daisy a bath and do some stuff at the old house. He was taking Daisy down to his mothers house. Soph and I had some leftover chicken noodles that I had made yesterday. Sophie took her nap. Then later on we made our bi weekly trek to Target. My dad called while we were in there and invited me and Soph for dinner. We had turkey, green bean casserole and mashed potatoes. Dad gave sophie a sucker to try. It was pretty entertaining watching her try to figure out what it was all bout. Dad put on some Nick jr cartoonsd Soph and him watched some shows. It was pretty cute. She was all full of energy, giving out "huks" left and right. She brought her babies with her so they could eat too. Grandma Sue fed Sophies twins. We left about 7:30 or so. Sophie went right to bed when we got home. She was busy today. After she was asleep, I tried to figure out how the t.v. works now with all of it's menus and remote control buttons, it hs been awhile since we have had t.v. without rabbit ears! Then of course the Internet had to be "set up". Apparently you have to go through five hundred screens of crap before you can access anything. So frustrating. at least I can work the phone..that stays charged for 5 minutes. I think I have to replace the rechargeable batteries, because they won't hold a charge for long. Just a few more things to add to my list of ulcer causing difficulties. So not after logging on at 10:30 I can finally get on here to write this. Jeeze. I shouldn't complain though, I am delighted to be living here, it is very nice, affordable, and I get my t.v. phone and internet back! Also, I would lie to add, that I will never believe again when a company tells me how much something will be. For example, let's say ohh, you are moving, and the mover says it will be between $4-500 total, you could then assume that it would not be less than $400, and not be greater than $500. right? I took algebra. I did story problems, with less than and equal to and so on signs. So imagine our surprise when the jackass said ok, that will be $795. I about shit myself. So let's see, if we do the math here, that is almost double of the quoted price. Naturally I got right on the phone to CHRIS AT ALL MY SONS MOVING WHO I WILL NEVER EVER USE AGAIN, and asked him very politely what the hell was going on. He was not so nice any more. He was my best friend earlier, Mrs. Wiley this and that..how are things progressing, blah blah checkin in on me. One of the guys weighed maybe 100 pounds, his name was meth mouth, and it was his first day! The other guys name was future inmate of some county jail. David had to do about 70% of the work, I am not kidding. It was stupid. I was furious. Chris, gave us a discount (of not much) but I am not done with him yet. I have drafted a letter or two, and will continue to call him daily until he refunds an amount that I am satisfied with.
So, the moral of the story is, that just because a company and most of employees (that you have talked to over the phone) seem professional and knowledgeable, does not make it so with the rest of the employees and services. I will physically go to places of business next time I am about to invest in something serious.

Hello, would you like some tea Mr. Burro?

Making tea

carosel

Sophie M. Val & Sophie L. Carosel fun

This morning we met Val and little Sophie M. at the Children's Museum. We played mostly in Egypt. We had lunch together in the cafeteria there. After lunch I took Sophie up to the toddler zone area. She wanted to run around, and I thought that would be a good place. She kept wandering out of the other exhibits to the hallways. So she played in the sandbox mostly, and colored. We got home, took naps. Then we had dinner and bathtime. She wanted to stay in the bath extra long tonight. She was having a good time splashing in the tub. She also thought it was very funny to splash me.
