Halloweeeeeen!

We had a pretty boring Halloween since we don't get kids at our house. We did go to Target for groceries, and that is always fun. Sophie and daddy went downtown this morning to the mall since I was tired to give me a little time to myself. Which meant I slept until they got home. That is all I have for ya!

GymBOOree

Here is Han with Yoda and Little Luke Skywalker with Princess Leia

Soph jumping out from behind the funhouse mirror trying to scare me

Today we met up with the crew at Gymboree for a special Haloween Party. Sophie had so much fun toddeling around! I really enjoy watching her! She had on her little duckie costume and looked especially cute. I knew she may get hot, so earlier we stopped by Old Navy to pick her up a little pumpkin shirt and matching orange and black striped pants to go under her costume.

I got a black shirt with skulls on it that I thought was pretty festive.
She also got to decorate her own little pumpkin with little foam stickers.

After that we met up with daddy at Abuelos Mexican Embassy. We have a friend there that I made when I was pregnant with Soph, so we like to sit in her section so we can catch up. Today, however, we were informed that she was not there because she was having her second baby Gabriela. So that was exciting news! Courtney's first daughter is named Mia and she is just a month or so younger than Soph! Sophie wore her duck feet from her Haloween costume in there. It was pretty funny seeing her orange feet dangling from her high chair!

LibraryDay and New boots!

(This is suposed to be at the bottom of the post) So here are the boots! I had just changed her diaper and she was trying to put on her little boots. I let her stomp around the house in them for awhile, check out those legs!

This afternoon Sophie and I went to the Carmel Library. We spent quite alot of time there. Sophie enjoyed walking around selecting books. We played in the play area with other kids her age. She liked walking around this area that had tree and flowers that she could look through. On the inside of this area it is magnetic so she was putting different magnets that they had there up and moving them all around. She was playing with the little train sets there, but there were other bossy little boys there claiming it was theirs. Sophie was polite and just stood back and watched the little turds! She walked all around looking at the stuffed dragons and various animals hanging from shelves and the ceiling.

She got to see the libraries 2 gerbal mascots named Pip and Squeek, which she thought was very funny. We decided to have lunch there in their little cafe since she was not ready to leave. She had a PB&J and some veggie straws and I had a turkey on a croisant. After that we went back in and they were having a story time, which they have a couple times a week that she likes, so we will keep coming for that.

We had some time to kill before Gymboree, so we went to Clay Terrace to the Old Navy and Sophie picked out a new pair of boots and some shirts.

Gymboree

Here is Sophie at Gymboree in Carmel. We met Aunt Melissa, Uncle Andy, Jonah and Maren there this morning. Missy and Andy take Jonah and Maren there, she encouraged me to sign up for a trial class. I did, and Sophie had a good time. She was just checking out all of the things she could do there, and watched the other kids mostly.
I think this will be a good activity to be involved in since winter is near, and we don't want to get cabin fever! We are signed up to go each Saturday at 9:45, but there are also two nights a week that she can go to the open gym that is just unstructured play time.

Another point of view

Today was a nice day. The weather was super! It started out at 6 a.m. when Sophie decided she wanted her paci, which she dropped 42 times during the night. We have hard wood floors so I can hear it hit the floor over the baby monitor. Then I wait for it....grunt, shuffle....scream. It was so cold in the house because I left the window cracked from yesterday when I was cleaning and forgot to shut it. Luckily she went back to sleep till about 8 or so.

I prepared for my sister to bring her cat Mabel over to stay with us. She is a special girl, much like my Mae cat. I know it must suck for her because I had to leave my Maecat with someone for awhile and I thought about her well fare all the time. Only because she is spoiled and gets to do what she wants and I was fearful that she would be ignored there (which she was). Luckily I have a special place for miscreant cats.
Out garage is now Meow Town, all of my bad seedlings live out there. It is much easier to deal with their accidents in a garage, than my carpet.

So I went out to the garage, made some space for Mabels town house. I looked around and realized how much crap we still have to get rid of. Oh well, we have had some time consuming issues this year. No big deal...we just have to accept the fact that we look like white trash form the outside looking in for a few. Priorities.

So All the babies were getting a smidge fussy, and we were waiting on my dad. We decided to leave for Panera a little early just to get them a change of scenery.

Lunch was good. Jonah and Soph had a great time with their food (eating & flinging).

Then e went to Lions Park in Zionsville. hey played together, but separately on the playground. Sophie wore Jonahs Colts hat around the park most of the time. I thought that was super funny until the brim was a little too low and she clotheslined herself on a see saw. Then we left and came home and ate some dinner. I mad chocolate chip cookies. Then Soph went to bed and we sat and watched the biggest looser and ate the cookies. I watched Jay Leno for like 4 minutes. Now I am waiting for Mr. Sandman

She bangs, she moves

So Tout ate with a fork tonight. Not just messing around, she stabbed her little hot dog pieces and turned the fork around to her mouth. She had to position the hot dog on her tray just so. Sometimes she just picked up the piece and put it in the tines. It was so funny because we cheered wildly and she just looked at us and smiled and giggled. Then she'd take another bite and look at us for another cheer....thank you Pavlov!

I don't know why I decided to grab her hello kitty fork, but I guess I thought it was time. Plus it was just one more thing she could throw on the floor when she had finished.
She is learning alot of new words now. It is pretty funny when she first tries out a new word to repeat, she says it really soft, then looks up and lets it go!

We put some paper crows up in the dining room - caw caw
cat is tat
dog is gogie , but cats dogs squirrels racoons things like that are also goggies in a book!
kok is clock (as in a clock picture from her book)
mim is mom
jute is juice

that's all I have for now

She aso not sticks her feet in my face and starts to laugh, because she knows I am going to grab it and say shooooo wee those are stinky! ( I got that from my sis doing that to Jonah)
So now she just sticks em up there.

Super fun day

Today after David got home from work we went to Lions Park in Zionsville. Tout loves to walk around. She took us by the gazebo where there were some 12 year old skateboarders, which was interesting to her. We tried to steer her away towards the playground but she kept making a U turn back to stare at them. You know what the little jerks were thinking...that we weren't cool enough to watch them ....until one of their moms showed up to collect one of them in a mini van. Cool. We collected leaves and noticed in the toddler part of the park that there is a big see saw, so David got on one side and Tout and I on the other. It was pretty funny...because I imagined what we must look like...excellent parents!!
After that we went to Dairy Queen. Tout likes to share the Peanut Buster Parfait with dad, I opt for the Blizzard with cookie dough. We dropped David back off at work so he could catch up on some stuff and we went home. Tout laid down for a power nap coma, I worked on my crafting. Today I am starting pillow cases and wrapping up a little scarf for Soph. Should be done tomorrow. I have been battling allergies, so it's hard to look down at the things i am working on because of the flow. You know.

Pumpkin Patch

We sure do love a pumpkin patch. It was super fun this time now that Sophie knew what was going on! She really enjoys walking around leading the way.
When we got there, we went to look for Aunt Melissa, Uncle Andy, Jonah and Maren. We had no idea where they were and it just kinda happened. Mom and Pappy were there also. We went on a hayride to get back to get our pumpkins. We found a lovely green and orange one.

We climbed up giant bales of hay. It was such a nice Fall day, the perfect weather for being outside.
