Children's Museum

Yesterday I picked up my cousin Jo to go with us to the Children's Museum. We had so much fun. Jo is really good with Soph, and Soph really likes her! She was a great help keeping Soph engaged in all of the exhibits. We went to Playscape first. Soph enjoyed showing Jo all of her favorite things there. Then we had lunch. After that we went to see Bob the Builder and ran into Soph's little friend Mellanie and her mom Angie from Gymboree. We got to see her new baby boy Joey.
Today we went over to Mary Bryan Elementary to play on the playground there. Soph had a good time scooping things into her little bucket. After that we went over to Ritters to get a delicious ice cream treat. Picutres are uploading...slowly. Stay tuned for those

Today I had the delight of going grocery shopping by myself. It was so nice to just be able to actually stop to look at my options instead of just doing a drive by and grabbing the first thing that resembles what I need. We spent alot of time organizing Tooties play room. I re-arranged her room so there appear to be more space. I wanted to put her toddler bed in it's rightful place. I put up her tree and owl decals on the wall and organized all her little outfits by color. We ate dinner about 5:30. We had the always delicious spaghetti. Soph had spag also and buttery corn niblets and toast. I made no-bake cookies while Soph and daddy watched Kipper.  She says it all British too like they do.  Mommieeee Kippah!  Watch Kippah! and Kippers friend the scotty dog is names Tiger (Tigah). It's pretty funny to hear her say it both ways. We didn't go anywhere today because David is still being a big baby about his upset tummy....which he has had for 3 days. I am pretty sure if he can keep down a greasy McDonald's Fish sandwich, large fries and whatever else he got, he is just fine. I think it had something to do with my list of things I wanted to get done around here. Soph had her bath with her added demand of brushing her teeth while in the tub. She has be get out her little baby doll hand mirror to hold up while she brushes. She brushes then smiles at herself in the mirror, then brushes and so on. Her nightly bath/brush ritual is pretty extensive. She is the cleanest toddler I know! She smelled delightful tonight with her new mango hair shampoo and her very berry body wash. We had a little tea party before bed. Soph got to sample a cookie with her milk. She placed pieces of it on her little saucers and handed David and I each a cup and little plate and poured out tea. Then she got out the little sugar bowel and scooped some sugar in our tea. She is such a good little hostess! She read through her elmo potty book and off to bed.

Playground fun

Lately before dinner we have been going over to Bunker Hill school to let Soph play on the playground there. She has a great time. We bring along her little bucket and shovel so she can scoop up the wood chips on the playground. She walked all around in the grass and picked flowers. She likes to crawl through the tubes. Then we came home and had a delicious pizza. Soph as usual had her bubble bath followed by several episodes of Kipper the dog and a few books. She went through her vatious flash card decks a couple of times then it was bed time.

Today we went to the Children's Museum. We had a great time. We went to the Playscape first. Soph spent most of the time building and playing in the sand box. She also played in the kitchen there with a couple of other kids making sandwiches and putting pieces of play fruit on plates. She stopped by Egypt to feed the burro. at noon we went to the cafeteria to eat the lunch we brought. Soph is really into cottage cheese now. We got home and it was nap time. She must have been tired from all the running around at the museum because she slept for almost 4 hours right up until dinner. She had nuggies mac and cheese bannas and peas. After that we had some craft time. She painted another picture and we cut out shapes and glued them to construction paper. She played at her kitchen while I was cleaning up after dinner. After some reading time she said daddy splish splash, which means she wants a bath. I sing her splish splash I was takin a bath song as she scrubs her little self. She likes to wash her own hair with her special shampoo. Then she got her jammies on and got her step stool out so she could stand at the sink to brush her teeth. This child is a teeth brushin fool! She gets the bottoms really good, but still needs "hep" with the top. She hands me the brush and says "hep mommie" and says ahhhhh and laughs and opens her mouth so i can do the tops. Then I say cheeseburger and she does her cheesy nose wrinkling grin so I can do the fronts. Then she has to have one more pass (and more toothpaste) to finish up. This is her nightly bath/teeth brushing ritual. It is pretty funny.

After all that we read about a dozen books whild she was winding down and she watched Kipper the dog and Caillou. Tomorrow is library day.

Mothers Day/Jonahs Birthday

Well I have not posted a thing for over a month. There have been alot of things going on around here that have simply drained me. I have not really felt like uploading pictures and fighting with my computer to speed up!. I will be backlogging posts as I can! Jonah celebrated his 2nd birthday today on Mother's day. He had a Toy Story themed party. Sophie and Maren enjoyed pushing each other around in the go go car. For Mothers Day. Sophie got me a Mickey Mouse card that she picked out all by herself. Inside was her handprint! She also got me a Mickey Mouse cup and a pretty flower!
