Early evening David came by, He was in town to drop some paper work off for this job his company was bidding on. He came by around 4. We went to Panera for some dinner and over to the park. There were alot of little nasties there so we didn't stay long. We went to the library instead and stayed almost until it closed. Soph was having so much fun on the little computers and playing with all the stuff. A librarian there had a mini story time so we got to participate in that. We got home in enough time to watch some Mickey Mouse while I got Toot ready for bed. Soph took an early nap today which interfered with out afternoon plans. Not that we had any. It just gave us a late start. Tomorrow will be better. Story time at Z ville w some friends and Gymboreeeeee!

Independence Park

This morning Soph woke up extra early. So she took a nap at 11. When she woke up, it was such a nice day that we went to a park. I was told about this park in Greenwood called Independence Park. It was cool. The playground was just the right size for Sophie with lotsof room to run. My dad met us down there to play. After that we stopped by his house for some ice cream. Toot had orange popsicle. She finished her nuggies and fries I stopped to get her on the way to the park.

It was close to dinner time when we got home. I made fish sticks, mac n cheese and mashed potatoes with some Hawiian rolls. Sounds like alot, but I didn't eat lunch, and I was super hungry for some non fast food. Soph really likes mashed potatoes now. Then we watched the Simpsons anf Family Guy (she likes them, I think they are stupid). Played with her puzzles, played tea time and read books. I am tired now. She was a wild woman today.

This morning we stopped by Meijer. I had to get Toot some more shampoo. Val recommended shampoo for curly hair, which I did not know existed for kids. David told me about this muscle rub creme for pain with Arnica in it. Some homeopathic stuff. We will see. They only had one kind there. After that we went over to Amy's house for a visit. I stopped at the Chic Filet to grab some food for Soph that she could eat over there since we would not be back home in time for lunch. Which sucks, because I just went to the grocery store. Oh well. We had a nice visit, but didn't stay too long because Amy had an appointment. So w went over to the Franklin Rd. Library for a bit. Sophie had a big time running around. I was talking to David on the way to the library and passed Indian Creek Church that had a sign out front that said MOPS meets here. So I had him e-mail me the church name so I wouldn't forget to google it later. Oddly enough, at the library there were these two other moms. They really didn't say much to me, but one of the moms (I forget her name at the moment) was talking to her friend and was asking me if I stay at home, and if I heard of MOPS. So she gave me the name of the lady who organizes it. I will have to check it out. Spooky. Sophie took a nice long nap when we got home. I spent that time researching new doctors for me and Soph that are closer to us. I found a couple, but when I called the one office the receptionist was kind of a jerk. So I don't believe I will be going there. We ate dinner, Soph had hot dog, corn, cheese and apples. I had some Cup Noodles. We played puzzles. Soph is finally mastering her shapes. She says them, as she puts them in. The star is kind of a pain for her. She gets frustrated with it and launches it. I go get it and make her try again. Trying to teach some patience. (Me and her :) I watched House M.d. Soph had a bath and tried out her new L Oreal Watermelon shampoo. Yay. I didn't take any pictures today because nothing new and exciting happened. Maybe tomorrow.

Tootie breaking in Grandpa's new carseat.
Today was a lazy day. We messed around here in the morning till daddy left. Then it was naptime. I took one too. Yesterday we went to Puccini's for dinner. It was super yummy. Sophie was not interested in sitting still. She wanted to sit by me in the booth. We ate fast. My dad came by later this afternoon so I could get some groceries. He wanted to check the new carseat out with Sophie in it. She thought it was pretty cool. She likes sitting high up to see out the window. We went to dinner at this Mexican place. Sophie was having none of it. It was noisy and there were alot of people there. Again, we ate fast. She wanted to walk. So I took her up and down the sidewalk while dad waited for the check. It was cold, but she loves to walk everywhere. I will be glad when it gets warmer, so I can take her to the parks and let her run free!

New Library

Sophie at the Franklin Road Library on the big tractor

This afternoon we met my mom at LePeeps for some lunch. We had a spinach salad and Soph had the grilled cheese and fruit. The food took forever to get there. This is not good when there is a toddler waiting and hungry. We took a little stroll outside down the sidewalk while my mom waited for the food. Not cool since I wanted to visit and actually talk. Oh well. Once the food arrives everyone was happy. On the way home Soph fell asleep. I was going over in my mind what else I had to do this day. By the time we got back home, Soph had just woken up. I took my time getting home figuring a 45 minute nap was better than being interrupted by getting out of the car to go up stairs. I drove around my old stomping grounds. Drove by the high school. I decided to check out the library on Franklin Rd. It was awesome. It isn't gigantic, but it is very kid friendly, They have so many toys and kid computer areas. There is a room with big red bard doors that is used for kids activities and story times. It was closed, so I didn't get to see the inside. The walls are decorated with a barnyard theme, complete with giant cows, scare crows and horses. There is a little pond outside that you can see ducks and birds from a big window with cushy seats for kids to sit or stand on to look out. We saw a duck family and what we thought was a beaver or something fuzzy swimming. Another mom saw it and we just stood there staring trying to figure out what this guy was. Toot liked seeing the ducks take off and land. There is also a little puppet theater and a bunch of different puppets on this coat rack type thing with a bunch of pegs on it. There was a huge Lego table and so many puzzles. I was very impressed. We stayed there for over an hour. There was another little girl there, she was 4 showing Soph the ropes. She was a little bossy, but I guess she was trying. I could tell by the way she was hanging out with us she didn't have much of a home life. Her scruffy uncle brought her to the library. He seemed nice, but there is something different there. There are a couple activities for Sophs age group each week. A story type thing and another romp around thing. I will be sure to check it out. There is also a play date drop in like they had at the Carmel Library. Between this Gymboree and Z ville 5 week story time, she will definitely not be short on activities. The best part is....it is free! After that, we just went on ahead and came home.  It was like 5 minutes away. I made us some fish n sticks, mac n cheese and tots. We looked at her new books. I got a couple activity books for toddlers that I can make copies from that have color pages and other activities. Amy and Scott dropped by for a few. They were putting a name tag on my buzzer and were going to Target. It was a nice visit. We haven't really been able to visit much between moving and other issues. Since we are getting a little routine here, it should settle down a bit. My dad informed me he got the car seat he wanted for Soph.  That will be nice so I don't have to keep taking mine in and out whenever we go somewhere together.  He likes to drive. He comes over sometimes to watch Soph for a bit so I can run errands, so now they can just toodle around if they don't want to hang out at the house. It is helpful because I can actually go to the store without headaches and backaches and do my errands in a reasonable amount of time without having to stop 500 times. We watched some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse then off to bed.

So Happy to be here! Z ville Library for Story Time
Ok now Sophie you jump on her back, Ill hold her beak, now make us an omlet!

Where do you wanna go? I dunno, where do YOU wanna go? I dont know.

ok, I am tired now....drive!

This morning we met up with Val & Sophie M. at the Zionsville Library to go to story time. I thought they were just going to read them a book an that would be it. Well, they read a book, then sang a song or two, then read another (they were short books!) and broke out some shakers like at Gymboree and then some scarves too. Sophie knew the putt away song like Gymboree, so she walked right up and handed over the different props they were given throughout the class. Then when class was over she wanted to see the horses in the little horse barn play thing they have there. She also kept saying fish, fish because there is an aquarium when you first walk in. Mayfield bear received many hugs from both Sophies. We had lunch at Patricks. Every time I go there I have high hopes. But the service is usually sketchy (especially when we get Mr sweaty waiter guy) yuk! We got some lady today who made sure I knew to substitute fries for chips would cost me $1 more..for the "upgrade"..whatever. Patrick was wandering around. I guess he was bored. He was trying to get the girls to wave at him and stuff. I think he got one wave or so. He did bring us coasters for them to throw. We warned him! After lunch, Sophie, naturally, was still full o' energy. So we all went over to Mulberry Park and played on the playground. It was a little windy, but nice anyways. When we got home, Sophie was supposed to take a nap. She may have, for a few minutes. Then she talked for awhile and I game and sprung her. I opened the windows and we went out on the balcony. This lady on the bottom floor sometimes lets her cats out on the porch for a few. Soph's pace fell over the balcony. I watched this happen. She just looked up t me like, well what am I supposed to do now. She pointed and said bebe! bebe! So we put on our jackets for a little post dinner nap. We had the always delicious ravioli, corn, Hawaiian bread and blueberry muffin for dessert. We watched Mickey's Playhouse for a couple of episodes. I wanted to watch Extreme Home Makeover. Sophie just kept saying Mickey, Mickey! Ok, jeeze. But as soon as she started messing around with toys I changed it while she wasn't paying attention! She knew. She had her bath. She had to bring her entire tea set in with her. I was sitting by the side of the tub and she kept coming in with stuff then leaving to go get more. After she was satisfied with the amount of stuff in the tub she stood there and looked at me like, um, ok ready to get nekkid! I guess I kinda zoned out sitting there. When she got out of the tub, she got up on her step to the sink. She wanted to wash her hands. I think there may me future encounters with some OCD therapy. She ended the evening with a clementine and a story. Tonight it was Bear in a Square.

Sophie's new "At"
Soph & Grandpa at Culvers

This morning Tootie woke up extra early because she missed me. We watched out morning PBS cartoons. After Elmos World someone fel asleep for 3 hours. I got some projects done during this time, including catching up on past episodes of Tori & Dean that I missed while we didn't have cable. After Toot woke up, she had a late lunch. We needed to get out, so we ran to JoAnn Fabrics because Ineeded a few things to finish my project. I got a bunch of 50% off coupons, so I also got Soph some finger paints and paper. She also got an Elmo and Hello Kitty stamps. They had the cutest plate and bowl and cup set there with little garden gnomes on it, so we got those too. I got Some plastic Easter eggs and some things for her basket. I had to get some more floss for these little towels that I am embroidering for her bathroom. We wandered around there for awhile. My dad met us at Culver's where Soph had a grilled cheese and fries of course. She said fries as soon as we walked in. Dad got her some chocolate ice cream that she couldn't eat fast enough! It was so funny watching her delight in it! Then we all headed over to Gymboree for open gym. I don't really care for the Greenwood location. They have the same stuff, but it is way small. So we will probably be going to open gym at Carmel, and just do her class down at Greenwood. That will satisfy me.

Tootie & Meemaw at Applebees
Tooties tea time

This morning we had to go downtown to pick up my wireless router for my computer from UPS. For some reason they could not leave it at the condo. Not sure why, I have received other items from UPS. It was actually supposed to come with the Comcast guy that hooked this stuff up, but of course nothing goes the way it is supposed to when it involves utilities, cable, phone or any other service type visit to my house. We stopped by my grandmas house after that. We took her to Greenwood Mall to JC Penney. She bought a couple pairs of jeans and returned some stuff. We ate lunch at Applebees. It was tasty. Sophie ate alot of her food. She went to town on her fries and grilled cheese. We took grandma home. Sophie ran around her yard for a little bit. It was such a nice day out. She found some frog statues and gave them each a hug and fed them pebbles. She also delighted in some jelly beans. We came home and Soph took a nap. I hooked up this router and worked on my latest craft project while she snoozed. When she woke up, we had snack and colored some color pages and had a tea party. Later on we had dinner, nuggies, peas and mac n cheese. Then we put out toys and books away nice (Sophie says that...nice) as she is putting things away. It was time for House M.D. therefore it was time for Soph to hit the hay!
